Format
Matches will start with group stages in double-elimination (GSL) brackets. Teams are divided into two groups of four each, and the top two teams from each group will move on to the Playoffs. The Playoff will feature single-elimination brackets in Semi-finals and Grand finals. Semi-finals will be played as best of three, while the Grand finals will be best of five.
Cloud9 was previously a part of the invited teams but decided to drop out due to roster issues. Electronic was acquired by Virtus.pro ahead of ESL Pro League S19, while the team benched Hobbit and Perfecto.
The team is currently looking to form a new roster and start fresh in the scene. However, there hasn’t been much information regarding the same. While most of the fans wanted Eternal Fire to replace them, they were replaced by the BetBoom Team.
Spirit and MOUZ are in top shape
MOUZ and Team Spirit are the two teams that have been making waves in the Counter-Strike scene with their performance. A few months back, Team Spirit secured Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2024 against FaZe while MOUZ has just secured the EPL S19 defeating Vitality.
Both teams look like a very strong competitor to each other and a threat to others in their respective groups. The opening matchup features BetBoom Team against MOUZ in Group A while Aurora Gaming will go against Team Spirit in Group B.
