I feel like I came all the way here for nothing!” he wrote as per translation.

Gamers criticize Black Myth: Wukong dev

This comes from a recent post on the PS5 subreddit where the translated post made Feng Ji was posted and naturally, people were quick to criticize the developer. While the Game of The Year might the most prestigious among all, people said the game did took home awards in various other categories including People’s Voice which shows that gamers really enjoyed the game.

This along with the high sale numbers and player count should be enough for the developers rather than winning Game of The Year. “You know... you don't have to praise the winner... you could just not say anything at all,” one of the comments said.

Another important factor to note is that Black Myth: Wukong didn't exactly had the smoothest launch. Like any other AAA game release, it also had its problems in performance and other aspects. This also impacted its rating as the game was the lowest rate game in the race for Game of The Year compared to Astro Bot or Metaphor: ReFantazio.
