InZOI early access seems to be doing well, despite some bugs, there’s a decent amount of content with more coming throughout the year. The game has also racked up a very positive rating from players and reached over 72,000 concurrent players, giving EA’s ‘The Sims’ a good competition. As the weekend rolls in, the numbers will likely go up more.
Part of InZOI’s popularity is the attention to detail, and while not everything works perfectly, it can be improved. The character customization is very extensive which is a very important part when it comes to cozy games like these. However, there’s a long way ahead for the game. The developers have already shared an extensive roadmap for 2025, which will include multiple major updates and modding features.
A good competitor to The Sims
There are many life sim games but none quite match up to The Sims. With each release, the game added more extensive features, and for years, the game remained unmatched. However, InZOI is looking to give the game a real challenge and for now, it seems to be succeeding. What matters now is that the game can keep up.
Many might wonder what are the differences between the two games. Visually, they aren’t comparable as Sims is a decade-old game, while InZOI is much more visually pleasing with better graphics as the game was developed using Unreal Engine 5. Although, this does have its upsides and downsides. The better-looking game also needs better hardware while Sims can run on almost all devices.
Gameplay-wise, however, InZOI features much more versatility with more focus on realism like the daily life and interactions of your ZOI with other NPCs. There are also a lot more customization options across most aspects of the world players create.

Is InZOI better than The Sims?
While both games may offer things differently, at the core, they are both life-sim games. Players who don’t prefer hyperrealism will probably like The Sims while those who want extensive customizations will have the best time with InZOI. The price, however, can also become a deciding factor.
The Sims 4 is free, however, there are years' worth of DLC which can cost people a lot. On the other side, InZOI launched with a $40 price tag and will have all updates free for the duration of early access. People who have the hardware will likely bank towards the new title.
