The Playoffs kicked off on December 5 with all teams starting out in the upper bracket of a Double Elimination format. All matches in the Playoffs are Bo5, with the grand finals featuring a ‘Bracket Reset’ that will provide the team with the flawless run another chance in case they lose the first set.

The roster for Team India includes Ashwin Ram, DK, Glad, Jitish, Lens, Navjot, Nova, Punit and GameZSaver. However, they have faced a road bump after losing the opening match against Team Italy and have dropped to the lower bracket. Their upcoming match will take place on December 10 against Team Turkey, who faced a defeat by the hands of Team Egypt.

As the current situation stands, the matches forward will always be the team fighting for survival, as another loss will result in elimination from the tournament. In case they do make it to the grand finals, the bracket rest will have them play two Bo5 to secure the crown.

However, regardless of the outcome, the team managing to reach the Playoffs is huge as small progress like these will finally allow players to get a grip on how tournaments work internationally and also assess the opponents to prepare for future esports tournaments.
