Another huge achievement for India in Esports as Pavan ‘Mr Tomboy’ Kampelli has now secured Bronze Medal in eFootball at Asian Esports Games 2024. The event took place in Bangkok and featured some of the best players from different nation, including past world champions and as expected, the competition was fierce.
Kampelli made his way into the Asian Esports Games after securing the top spot at the Waves Esports Championship 2025. The qualifiers featured over 450 players across the country, each competing with a goal of representing the country on an international level.

However, Kampelli is already known for his prowess, which have amassed him a massive fan following. He also represents Godlike Esports, one of the biggest esports org in India and fans were wishing him best for the tournament allowing him to take down Asgard Azizi, who was the 2022 World Champion.

An incredible lower bracket run by Mr Tomboy
Mr Tomboy started his run with an initial loss against TXRO from Thailand, dropping into the lower brackets. However, from here on, it was a flawless run to the lower bracket finals, where he met TXRO once again. Sadly, he once again faced defeat and had to make do with Bronze this time.
The first spot was secured by Thailand’s TXRO in their home grounds thanks to the home crowd buff, while the second spot was secured by Minbappe from Malaysia. The medals to all the winners were also present by the director of Esports Federation of India (ESFI), Lokesh Suji. He is also on the Membership Committee for International Esports Federation (IESF)
All in all, the eFootball tournament did help to put India on board. With this victory, not only Kampelli, but India also takes another step towards international esports. Previously, Wasfi “YoshiKiller” Bilal managed to secure Silver Medal in Tekken 8 at BRICS Esports Championship.
