The Indian line-up at the Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2024 for Call of Duty Mobile had to unfortunately withdraw from the tournament in São Paulo. This comes after visa issues from the side of the Brazilian Embassy.

An announcement on the situation was made by the organization on April 8. The tournament is set to start on April 12 and even after the team gets a clearance in a few days, it is highly unlikely that the team will have enough time to travel to the destination.

The official statement from GodLike Esports said, “Due to unforeseen delays in visa processing by the Brazilian Embassy (which we've been waiting for the past 15 days), our team will not be able to acquire visas in time to participate in the SPS CODM Masters in São Paulo.”

Travelling issues are one of the most common problems teams face while competing globally. There are times when teams do not have time to apply for a visa or sometimes, the process takes too long to ultimately get rejected. This is what happened with GodLike and is very heartbreaking for the teams as well as the fans.

Eight teams across six regions were set to take part in the CoD Mobile tournament, however, GodLike is now replaced by iNCO Gaming as the third team from Latin America and will now be facing Amigos Gaming on the opening day of Group B. The rest of the tournament will move forward as planned.

The fight is still on

GodLike Esports expressed their disappointment and apologized to the fans who were eagerly waiting for them to play on the international stage. Despite the setback, the team shared positive vibes with the community and told them that they would use the time to get ready for future tournaments.

“We wish all participating teams the very best in the tournament. We'll be using this time to focus on intense preparation for upcoming tournaments. Stay tuned for updates on our future endeavours!” GodLike Esports further wrote in their post.
