A week ago, Epyllion shared an extensive report on the ‘State of Video Gaming in 2025’. The report mentioned that gaming companies are hoping that Take-Two Interactive prices GTA 6 at $100 on release for the base game. This has left many wondering if this should be the case and what will be the price of the game globally.

Gaming is becoming an increasingly popular hobby in India. While this has been the case for some time now, it's becoming more prevalent. GTA 6 with a $100 price tag will likely be a thinker for many. When converted into local currency, the price is over Rs 8,500 which isn’t cheap by any means.

What will be the price of GTA 6 price in India?

Some aspects like the regional pricing can affect the presumed price for GTA 6, but the decision for that ultimately sits with the publisher. The game is set to make a console debut this year, and sadly, console games do not follow regional pricing. This means that console players will likely pay Rs 8,500 or the same release price for GTA 6 on launch.

There has been a decline in regional pricing for PC games too, with companies now putting games at full price across various PC marketplace. This is to prevent people from changing regions for lower prices and maximize revenue. However, Rockstar can be a bit lean on this matter as observed on Steam.

Red Dead Redemption was released with a price tag of $50 which roughly translates to Rs 4,300, but the game is priced at Rs 3,800. While not the exact amount recommended by Steam, it is still lower than the base price by around 12%. Going by this logic, GTA 6 price in India on PC release should be around Rs 6,500 for the base game which isn’t too bad considering it will be a game players may play for another decade.
