GTA VI is not getting delayed (yet)
Recently, rumours regarding a delay in GTA 6 release shook the entire fanbase, with many lamenting they will need to wait another year for release. The rumour was particularly heartbreaking for PC gamers, however, it seems that there is currently no delay for GTA 6. This comes from a recent Annual Report from Take Two Interactive.
The most recent Virtual Annual Shareholder Meeting has reportedly presented the 2024 annual report. While the report was originally dated March 2024, presenting the same with no changes at the meeting once again raises the hopes of GTA fans.
Fall 2025. Nothing changed. We have been told before, but this is the most recent confirmation by Publisher TAKE-TWO INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE, INC. about the #GTA6 release.

As per the report, a statement regarding the development studio for GTA 6 said, “Rockstar Games continues to invest in the franchise and plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI in the Fall of calendar 2025. The label released its first trailer for the title in December 2023 and will share more details over time”.

The statement coincides with other statements from industry insiders regarding no word on the delay. Even if there was one, fans will likely not hear about the delay till next year, for now, the development is looking to be on track with the company aiming for a Fall 2025 release of GTA 6.
A late delay is always on the table
Despite that, many believe there will be some for of delay considering how big GTA 6 is in scope. It is very likely that Rockstar Games may not want to release the game in a half-baked situation, only to receive a backlash from the community after making fans wait for 10+ years.
GTA 6 is all set to be the biggest video game release of 2025 which puts the fan expectations even higher in terms of story, gameplay and quality. Regardless of any upcoming delays, fans are happy that the current schedule is on track.
