To no one’s surprise, Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) was named the most anticipated game at the Game Awards against Ghost of Yotei, Monster Hunter Wilds, Death Stranding 2, and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. This further shows how much gamers are waiting for GTA 6 over any other game set to release in 2025.
Not only are the fans calling it Game of the Year for 2025, with the potential to be the biggest release of the decade. The impact is so high that even other game publishers are scared to release their game anywhere near GTA 6, as per reports. Although this victory also came with another disappointment for everyone.

No GTA 6 trailer 2 at the Game Awards
While GTA 6 being the most anticipated game was already clear, the gamers were waiting for the second trailer, which is long due. Sadly, there was no update regarding the same from Rockstar Games, shooting down hopes of many gamers.
None of the ‘Holy sh*t!, I can't believe this thing is here!’ moments at The Game Awards were for GTA 6, which is fair considering everyone was expecting a reveal. For everyone’s disappointment, it was also not the Half Life 3 announcement by Valve. There are Christmas holidays, so players have one last hope of getting Trailer 2 before 2024 concludes.
There were a lot of big announcements at The Game Awards; however, judging by the surprise, it feels the reveal for a new Elden Ring game and The Witcher 4 trailer might be the biggest moments, as not many were expecting a trailer for a game that went into full production just weeks ago along with a game that was not in developer as per the studio.
