The ongoing COD Mobile World Championship now sees GodLike Esports clear the first hurdle and make their way into the Playoffs. Following three wins and two losses, the team made their way into the next round. On the other hand, Team Vitality was not so lucky and will be returning home after three losses alongside some other popular teams.
Facing Elevate in the opening match, GodLike had a great opportunity to test the waters after their previous loss against the team. Sadly, they faced another defeat. Their run for the Playoffs was a roller coaster, leaving them in a do-or-die situation.
The following match saw them defeat the Supreme TEAM. Moving forward, the team had a déjà vu moment after another loss against Galorys Company followed by a victory against Animus. The final match against Tribe gaming is where everything was depending on.
Thankfully, the team displayed a dominating performance to secure their way into the Playoffs. In the process, they also avenged the loss of Team Vitality. GodLike Esports will now have to keep the hopes of all Indian fans alive.
Team Vitality faces big upset in Swiss Stage
Team Vitality also started out their journey with a loss, and the following matches saw a similar pattern as GodLike Esports. This left them in a decisive battle against the Wolves. Sadly, the team suffered their third defeat that ended their journey at the COD Mobile World Championship.

What’s even more interesting is that both GodLike and Team Vitality lost to the same team that knocked them out during the COD Mobile Summer Invitational in Chengdu. The only difference this time is GodLike has one more chance, given that other teams do not eliminate either of the teams first.
