Ghost of Yotei clinches pole position in PlayStation pre-order chart

The PlayStation pre-order chart is surprisingly topped by Ghost of Yotei, which is the upcoming sequel to the 2020 released open-world game Ghost of Tsushima. Both the US and the UK gamers are more interested in buying the sequel, and that is the reason the game has now clinched the pole position in pre-order charts. 

The announcement was made back in September 2024, and the game will have a new name and a new central protagonist. The game is set to take place 300 years after the first game. Atsu will be the lead role, who is on a mission to avenge the murder of her family.

The gameplay includes hunting the people responsible for her family members' deaths in Japan’s Northern Enzo region. The game will be officially released on october 2. The classic action and Stealth gameplay will be repeated in the sequel.

Atsu will be using the iconic Katana knife to cut down the enemies who burned down her home. As the game is happening after 300 years of the original prequel, it will have the advantage of using the Matchlook rifle. Atsu can now shoot down enemies from a distance, so there will be no risk of killing enemies.

Ghost of Yotei Price and Pre-orders

The game developer Sucker Punch is already earning big with the Ghost of Yotei pre orders. The Standard Vanilla version costs $70, and the Deluxe edition costs $80. The game is six months away from its official launch, and the pre-orders are going very well for the developer.

Ghost of Tsushima is a blockbuster hit game that was released for PlayStation 4 in 2020. It was appreciated for its unique storyline and high graphics. The updated PS5 version was released in 2021, and the PC version was launched in 2024. 

After its bumper hit in the playing consoles, the developer has planned to develop a live-action movie based on the game with the help of Sony. John Wick director Chad Stahelski will direct the anime movie, which will be based on the online multiplayer mode of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
