Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered becomes 2025's top-seller in just two weeks

As per reports, it is evident that in just two weeks of its release The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is one of the best sellers of 2025. There were numerous rumours on the game being “worst-kept secret” in terms of video games for a few months, Bethesda finally released it in the market making it official two weeks back.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion is an improvised remake of the original version of the game of 2006 of Bethesda RPG, it is being said that the original version has been quite popular among the gamers. 

It replicates Elder Scrolls says the ones who have previously played the original. The player numbers till now are very impressive, as they saw an approximate number of four million players in the initial three days. Steam was also flooded with one-fourth of a million players, playing concurrently.

Ranking 3rd behind Monster Hunter Wilds & Assassin's Creed

As per Mat Piscatella, industry analyst, after Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has come up to be on the third position in terms of best seller of the year. 

Ubisoft’s Assassin's Creed Shadows is yet to disclose the sales figure of the game, but if we compare it to Monster Hunter Wilds, which sold 10 million copies since March 31st, Oblivion Remastered have sold three million in the first week itself and the numbers are likely increasing. 

It is still not clear if in its sales matrix, The Elder Scrolls 4 will include the Game Pass download since it was released on Xbox Game Pass on the first day. Even without it, the game still has a very impressive appearance as to being one of the top three best selling games. The game has the potential to reach great heights in terms of sales with the Game Pass. People who will download the Game Pass will likely purchase the game as well. It can be expected that the game will come up with more copies throughout the year.
