The arrival of m0NESY failed to save G2 Esports from elimination, as Team Vitality popped off to defeat the best of G2 in a head-to-head battle at the CS2 BLAST Premier Spring Final. On the other hand, Astralis managed a swift victory against SAW and managed to survive to see the Playoffs.

Vitality became a menace for G2

G2 opened up great by securing two rounds on their map pick, however, Vitality quickly picked themselves up, breaking G2 every other round and securing an easy victory. The second map saw the team warmed up, with NiKo and m0NESY once again securing nine back-to-back rounds. Vitality recovered a bit in the later half but ultimately lost the game.

The decider took place on Mirage, which gave Vitality the upper hand and they took full advantage to bring G2 on their knees. The team converted many rounds in their favour despite being at a man's disadvantage multiple times.

While we did see some insane multi-kills and flick shots from m0NESY, the performance was not there, likely due to him being busy trying to make it to the event, leaving a lot of team practice time wasted. The player could be seen landing directly at the event and rushing to play the match against another popular AWPer from Vitality.

Ez for Astralis

Astralis gave a dominating performance from the beginning as SAW struggled to get a grip on both sides despite securing multiple pistol rounds. The team was having a field day on Dust2 on both attack and defence. The following map also saw the same conclusion, with Astralis stopping SAW on just three rounds.

With these wins, Vitality and Astralis move to the Playoffs and will now face Virtus.pro and FaZe Clan, who lost their winner's bracket match and missed a direct spot for the semifinals.
