Shooter game enthusiasts have some disappointing news from the world of ESports. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not have early access to the campaign, Activision has confirmed. The decision came in the backdrop of The Black Ops 6 team planning to release everything in one go.

It is noteworthy that in recent years, Activision has given gamers who pre-ordered a Call of Duty game early access to its campaign. Modern Warfare 3 released in 2023 also had that benefit. However, the American video game publisher has learned to buck the trend this year, because even if you pre-order, you won't get early access.

Activision confirms massive global launch on October 25th

Black Ops 6, the upcoming first-person shooter game co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, will be released on October 25. In a statement shared with CharlieIntel, an Activision spokesperson said the team is "fully focused on October 25th".

"We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig into any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment [on] October 25th,” the spokesperson said.

"As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch,” the spokesperson added.
