Once again, Fortnite players are raising the issue of OG game lobbies filled with bots. Epic Games recently brought back the OG game mode due to its popularity. Players were thrilled early on with the news, but complaints regarding the addition of bots in matches soon started pouring in with demands for removal.

A new clip shared by a player reveals them in the top three, where the remaining two players were bots fighting each other. “Not a single real person in a 100-player lobby. This game is cooked,” the player wrote, expressing their disappointment even after winning the match.

Bringing back OG as a separate game mode was highly appreciated by fans, but the addition of bots has sparked an outrage. While a few bots per match are considered a good training wheel, players are lamenting the fact that they are being put inside lobbies with over 80 bots in a single match of 100 players.

This was also revealed by a data miner named Ally Jax on X (Twitter), who also revealed that the addition of bots isn’t just for a single region. All regions had a minimum of 88 bots, regardless of team sizes.

Epic Games responds quick

This backlash from the community regarding excess bots hasn’t gone unheard, as following the complaints, it seems Epic Games have dialled down the bot count inside Fortnite OG matches. From over 80 bots to less than 50, the developers addressed the issue quickly.

While 50 is still a lot, players are now finally getting to go against real players and get a satisfying victory in Fortnite OG. The bots were added after various complaints from players regarding lobbies filled without any skill-based matchmaking. Bots allow players who are still learning to get better; however, at the same time, flooding the lobby isn’t a solution as players are required to adapt and learn in a competitive game.
