Fortnite just released the ‘Rock Bottoms’ Kicks, and fans are calling it the best one they released since the introduction on Kicks. As the name suggests, the shoes are jammed into rocks and fans are loving the design. It’s not often that people celebrate Kicks in Fortnite as they came out as a highly debated topic with many calling out Epic Games.
Before the Rock Bottoms were introduced, most of the shoes (Kicks) in Fortnite were brand collabs and a replica of their real-world counterpart. While they look good, most people were likely going to be looking at the character skins and they were deemed unnecessary.
Fans want more of Original Kicks in Fortnite
However, the new shoes do say that Fortnite can do the funny stunts with shoes and the players are all in for it. Many even want Fortnite to make more of the original Kicks rather than partner with companies to bring regular shoes. This is way more as the players are more likely to do purchases.
Epic Games criticized for creating FOMO
While the design is praised by many, Rock Bottoms is only available in the Fortnite Shop till March 30th, something for which Epic Games has received a lot of criticism. While these cosmetics can return, having a time limit essentially creates FOMO, something that got Epic into trouble a lot multiple times.
The company recently faced another lawsuit by parents who claim Epic Games of causing "the illusion of scarcity" and "FOMO" through its store products. The topic here was that there are timers in the Store which make players think they are going to miss out. Epic denied the claims about timers, but it is present in another form as a written text for the removal of the items.
