Fortnite fans will be able to jump into the latest Reload mode that brings a new map with some of the iconic OG map locations and weapons, along with a new way to keep yourself in the fight. The new mode is set to go live after the first Metallica concert and will be available to everyone.

Reload mode features back-to-back respawns like a deathmatch allowing players to return and support their team in the firefight. As for the game mode, it is your Regular Battle royale mode that features both the classic and zero-build mode, with the last squad standing as the winner.

However, since the respawn mechanic can make the game last too long, this game mode will only feature 40 players or 10 teams. There are also a few rules to this mode, players can only revive unless there is another player alive in their team. If the last play on the team dies before any one of the three revives, the team is eliminated.

Here is the overview of the Reload mode

  • The player reboot starts after death with 30 seconds, which later increases to 40 seconds in the endgame.
  • Reboot time can be reduced by either downing or defeating opponents/squads.
  • Downed players can give up a start reboot timer instead of waiting for a revive
  • Reboots will be disabled in the endgame.

Defeated players will also drop some items like shield potions in addition to their loot inventory that can be picked up by others, while players who have successfully rebooted will drop a common Assault Rifle and some wood in build mode to defend themselves.

  • Tactical Shotgun
  • Lever Action Shotgun
  • OG Heavy Shotgun
  • Tactical Submachine Gun
  • Infantry Rifle
  • Heavy Assault Rifle

  • Grappler

As a celebration, there are also new quests that will reward players with Digital Dogfight Contrail, Pool Cubes Wrap and NaNa Bath Back Bling alongside 20,000 XP for each quest. Securing a win in the new mode will also reward players with The Rezzbrella Glider.
