One of the most debated topics in gaming was the recent Elon Musk drama regarding his Path of Exile 2 gameplay. Following analysis from veterans in the community, everyone accused Elon of account boosting. This resulted in some tension between him and Asmongold. Days later, it seems Elon himself admitted to account boosting and sharing.
A video uploaded by NikoWrex on YouTube shared DM on X (Twitter) from Elon admitting to account sharing and real money trading (RMT) in Path of Exile 2 as well as Diablo 4. For those having a hard time remembering, the billionaire also claimed he was one of the best D4 players out there a while back.
The DMs were reportedly shared after permission from Elon himself. When asked about account boosting he did not deny responding with a ‘100’ emote claiming it’s impossible to beat Asian players if you don’t (account share). Elon went on to say during all the streams and clips uploaded, that was him playing.

The best gamer with an Asterisk
When Elon claimed he was one of the top players in Diablo 4 and showcased his build, it seemed that the billionaire forgot to mention behind the scenes. Talking further to NikoWrex he claimed, top accounts across both Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2 do the same to reach the top and it’s quite common.
Asmongold also responded to the video as he was the one caught up with Elon in an argument. Talking about those DMs, the streamer also pointed out Elon’s wording while he showcased his gameplay saying, “Let’s be real, when you present something as your account, people are going to think you got it from your account. I think that many people would have come to the conclusion based on the way he talked about it, that he did it.”
He then admitted that while Elon may play video games or even be ‘pretty good’ at video games, he isn’t as good as he tells everyone saying, “There’s being a good gamer, and there’s being level 97 in Path of Exile”.
