Electronic Arts (EA) is set to deprecate a bunch of Live service titles this year. As of now, there are 13 titles confirmed to be shut down in the coming months. Once a live service game is shut down, the multiplayer aspects are inaccessible to any player regardless of being the game free or paid.

There are some exceptions where devs update the game to run on local multiplayer, but that is a rarity in today’s live service era. This isn’t also the first time EA has chopped off a live service game and it certainly won’t be the last. 2024 also saw some of the beloved games like Battlefield 3.

Here are all the games by EA shutting down in 2025

  • The Simpsons: Tapped Out - January 24
  • Blood & Glory Immortals - January 29
  • Contract Killer: Sniper - January 29
  • Deer Hunter Classic - January 29
  • Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores - January 29
  • Eternity Warriors 4 - January 29

  • UFC 3 - February 17
  • EA Sports UFC Mobile 2 - March 13
  • NCAA 14 - March 13
  • Madden NFL 21 - June 30

Some of these games have been running for over a decade while others saw a new iteration in the market. Live service games are always hanging by the thread, and usually, if these games are not performing up to expectations, or aren’t cost-effective anymore, they are shut down.

It is also important to note that there are other gaming companies following the same practices and it’s not exclusive to EA. Most recently, Ubisoft announced the shutdown of XDefiant following dwindling numbers. A few other games like Realm Royale Reforged and Hood: Outlaws and Legends are also being shut down this year.
