EA Sports College Football 25 becomes bestseller across the US

EA Sports College Football 25 saw an incredible launch compared to any other in the EA Sports series. The massive release reportedly brought the game as the top seller across the United States (US) throughout 2024. This comes from Video Game Industry Analyst, Mat Piscatella, at Circana, who revealed the list for top 20 bestsellers.

The high number of sales comes even after the game was not available on last-gen consoles and PC, with the game even reaching over 700,000. This goes on to show how much people love sports games across the country.

Apart from College Football, other games in the EA Sports series like NFL 25, FC 25, and even NFL 24 are current in the top 20 best-selling games in the US. Although, other popular releases were also not far behind, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in the second place and Helldivers 2 in third.

The date from all the games are inclusive of all physical and digital sales across various platforms including Steam, Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation. The data, however, does exclude add-on sales like in-game purchases and DLCs.

Both Black Ops 6 and Helldivers 2 were a massive success, which was visible just days after release. However, what’s interesting is older games like Elden Ring, Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5), and even Modern Warfare 3 also among the top sellers.
