Dr Disrespect’s return have people riled up after his previous controversy

Two months after Dr Disrespect admitted to all the allegations regarding interaction with a minor on Twitch, he’s back on YouTube streaming. The return wasn’t sudden, as he started dropping teasers a week ahead before finally firing his live stream. There was heavy backlash over his return to X with a sentiment of heavy opposition.

However, all that was for nothing as Dr Disrespect’s stream started with over 200,000 viewers as per reports. Many of them of course were there to see what was going on, with a drop in viewership dropped as the chat was limited to long-time subscribers.

Dr Disrespect’s return to YouTube, however, was quite surprising considering his channel was demonetized in the wake of the controversy. Many people were making a bet that he will probably shift to Kick or some other platform now that YouTube have closed their doors. He is once again applying for monetization, claiming he did not do anything wrong.

Dr Disrespect addresses the controversy

With his return, of course, the topic regarding his interaction with the minor was once again picked up with Dr Disrespect defending himself trying to explain the situation and convincing people of his innocence. In a lengthy rant, before he started playing video games, Twitch also came under fire as he claimed that there were no legal cases against him as per the investigation and claimed he did nothing wrong.

This, however, does not prove him innocent in the eyes of people, especially after he admitted to the fact in a now-deleted X post that the allegations regarding his interaction were false. To make matters worse, there were multiple edits with the removal of certain phrasing, including the word ‘minor’ before the post was deleted.

While a majority of people are against Dr Disrespect, including long-time fellow streamers like TimTheTatman, there is a significant amount of people still in his support. It remains to be seen if the gaming community let this persist.
