Reviews of Doom: The Dark Ages

Since the inception of the Dark Ages, claims have been made that it is the best game of the Doom series. With the reviews being open to the public, one can finally determine whether the game truly lived up to its hype. The game has done a decent job, as evident from the score of 86 on OpenCritic and 84 on Metacritic. However, it still doesn't stand as the highest-rated game in the series.

Jade King, the feature editor at Lead, rated the game 3.5 out of 5. She pinpointed the positives and negatives of the game. While she praised the brutal combat, solid story and the range of enemies & environments in the game, she felt the mechanics were too good, and hence one may be able to predict all the objectives, which may kill the gamer's interest.
