The Upcoming game Mafia: The Old Country will launch on 8th August for all platforms. The PC version will be sold on Steam, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be sold on their own stores. Mafia is one of the most celebrated gangster games, similar to GTA.
Mafia becomes more affordable
The game publisher 2K has announced this news in a new press release. They also revealed the price point of the game, which is $ 45/50. The new Mafia: The Old Country will be short and have an easy gameplay compared with its predecessors.
2K president David Ismailer said, “We think there's a large audience for compelling stories that don't require massive time commitments. We're excited to offer a game like Mafia: The Old Country in our portfolio, and to provide a linear, highly polished narrative experience that can easily complement the other, more persistent games our players also love and engage with on a more consistent basis.”

It was released to counter GTA Online, but Rockstar is still the benchmark for this kind of online and open-world game. The game is set in Sicily in the 1900s, which returns to the old roots of the Mafia franchise that has now moved to the modern era. The latest known Mafia 3 and Mafia: Definitive Edition studio, Hangar 13, used the latest Unreal Engine 5, which gives high performance and graphics.
To counter GTA and make the gaming experience more real, the game developers have promised to return to old ways. They have also released a new gameplay video on their social media pages, and users can view the live gaming experience without even playing. The storyline will also be shorter, grounded, emotional and brutal, which gives good engagement to the audience. This is an origin storyline, so it will be different from the regular open-world games from the Mafia Franchise.
