Deepika Padukone to join Krafton as brand ambassador and BGMI as playable character

Krafton India join hands with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone for a year-long collaboration for BGMI, will also make an appearance as playable character in the game.

Another big collaboration was announced by Krafton India, this time featuring Bollywood star Deepika Padukone. The actress will serve as the new brand ambassador for the Battle Royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Alongside that, Padukone will also appear inside the game as a playable character with different styles.

“It is a thrilling opportunity to embark on this new chapter with the BGMI family. Gaming has become a cultural phenomenon in India, and I'm excited to connect with the incredible energy of the gaming community. It's an honour to be a part of something so dynamic and engaging. I look forward to seeing how my fans react to the in-game avatar,” she said, talking about her collab.

Since the unban, Krafton have doubled their efforts in BGMI through collaborations, with even Hardik Pandya joining the list. There are also voice packs of popular gaming icons like ScoutOP and Soul Mortal to make the game feel more grounded.

Speaking on the partnership, CEO of Krafton India, Sean Hyunil Sohn said that the collab is meant to provide players with new content and experience while also creating unforgettable moments.

Deepika Padukone joins her husband in BGMI

Krafton India previously teamed up with Ranveer Singh, who also joined as brand ambassador with his own character avatar in the game. With Deepika Padukone also becoming a part of BGMI, players will have a chance to bring the couple together in the battle.

Adding the Bollywood power couple in the game, BGMI gaming couples will also have an opportunity to show off by equipping the character avatars. Krafton India have also been focusing on the social aspect of the game and previously released ‘India ki Hearbeat’ series on the topic.
