The creator of Minecraft, Markus ‘Notch’ Persson, recently put up a poll asking what game people would like to see more. The options were Minecraft 2 and another game he is currently working on, or at least planned. Of course, the majority vote went to Minecraft 2, although, people are seemingly ready to play whatever game he will make.
One user said Minecraft does not need a sequel, while another said they’s play both, but would love Minecraft 2 more. Notch also said he wants to create what the people want or at leat something similar as Microsoft currently owns Minecraft IP, so the game would be called something different.
“If Microsoft, for some reason, would want me to do it, and we, somehow, agreed on the terms, I'd absolutely be willing to do that. I'd even give them a much bigger share than I'd feel obliged to, just to make it clear I'm not doing it with ill intent,” he further added.

Gamers to decide what Notch works on next
In a follow-up post, he wrote, “100% serious about all that, btw,” pointing that he will be working on what people want. As of now, the poll currently have almost 200,000 votes with majority going towards Minecraft 2. However, there is still four more days before the final verdict and anything can happen.
“I don't super-duper care exactly which game I make first (or even if I make more), but I do know I'm making one, so I figured I'd absolutely be willing to give it an honest shot in the form of a spiritual successor to minecraft and put up a poll about it,” he wrote.
One user asked what name he is planning to give the game, as Minecraft isn’t a possibility. Notch revealed currently he has no idea, as the best he could come up with is ‘Adventureland’.
