Up next in the Esports World Cup tournament list is one of the most popular Battle Royale games, Apex Legends. The tournament is set to commence on July 31 and will feature a $2 million prize pool. The event is set to feature 40 teams. Alongside the massive prize pool, the finals have also been made interesting with some additional rules to spice things up. The winner of the event will be taking home $600,000.

Format
All teams will be starting from the Group Stages and have been divided into two. Each group contains 20 teams who will be playing 10 matches. At the end of all 10 matches, the top nine teams from each group will be moving to the finals, while the team in the last spot will return home.
The remaining teams will compete across 10 more matches in the Last Chance stage, with the top two moving forward to the finals, and the rest are eliminated. The finals, however, will be played in a Match Point Format, where the teams who reach 60 points will secure the Match Point.
Multiple teams can secure match points at once, however, the first team to secure a win with match points will be crowned winner of the Apex Legends Esports World Cup. Teams who qualified through the group stage will get an ‘Advance Starting Points’ start based on the points earned previously.
