One of the fan-favorite teams in competitive BGMI has now exited after only 11 months in the scene. Carnival Gaming started out back in January after adding former S8UL Esports players like Goblin, Omega, and Hector to create a new dream team. Sadly, the team did not manage to make an impactful victory through their run.

“With heavy hearts, we announce the closure of Carnival Gaming. It has been an incredible journey, and we are thankful to everyone who contributed to our story. Your support has meant the world to us,” the organization posted in their final video.

Over the course of their journey, the team added other new names, including a former player from GodLike Esports, Neyo as their content creator, another player from S8UL Esports, Spower, and SHOGUN from Mogo Esports in the playing four.

The team did manage to have bad victories across multiple tournaments but when it came to some high-stakes events, they always underperformed despite reaching grand finals across most BGMI tournaments. On top of that, the team was also under fire after the infamous Neyo controversy, which led the organization to part ways with a popular creator.

As of now, the team is competing at the Vasista Esports Deepavali BattleMania which might just be the last time fans will see the logo across BGMI events. It is also unclear where the players will be moving, after-all it is a star-studded team.

Why is Carnival Gaming leaving Esports?

Keeping an organization alive in Esports is a very challenging task, especially when the team is not able to secure big tournaments. This isn’t completely on the org as despite being the biggest fish in the esports scene, BGMI isn’t able to put enough to keep the organization going.

Another way to keep the organization running is trying across different spaces which Carnival Gaming did try with teams across other esports games like Valorant and Counter-Strike 2 but could not find much success. Carnival Gaming is also reportedly the 19th team to exit the BGMI scene. Prior to them, Team 8Bit and Global Esports also revealed that they were halting their esports operations in the scene.
