Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release this month and Capcom has now provided a benchmark tool. This comes as a great way for people to check what kind of performance they can expect on their hardware. The beta test left many players unsatisfied with the game's performance and with this tool, they will be able to check the improvement.
The benchmark tool comes along with a new gameplay/story trailer and the announcement for the second open beta testing. This will be available for Xbox, PS5, and Steam with the first wave taking place from February 6th to 9th. The second wave of open beta will take place From February 13th to 16th.
The first open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds brought nearly half a million players and while there was some performance issue, the general experience was enjoyable. One of the most notable changes came to the PC specs after the previous open beta testing with Capcom reducing the requirements.
Capcom lowers the PC specs to run Monster Hunter Wilds
The initial PC specs for Monster Hunter Wilds were either a GTX 1660 Super or 5600 XT for upscaled 1080p resolution (low) at 30 fps. This has been changed to a regular GTX 1660 or a 5500 XT. As for the recommended specifications to run the game at 1080p medium the RTX 2070 Spuer is now RTX 2060, and RX 6700XT is now RX 6600.
Those who don’t want to try the benchmarking tool can simply try the game during open beta and assess the performance change this way. The beta invite is available on the Steam page for Monster Hunter Wilds and is the same playable portion as the first open testing.
