Monster Hunter Wilds is one of the most widely played RPG games. The maker, Capcom, will release its first title updates with Arena quests this Friday. The game developer doesn’t want cheaters to rank in the arena quests leaderboards.
The Arena quests provide gamers with challenging and competitive hunting. During this, players can only use predetermined weapons to hunt down monsters. This creates an even battlefield between players, and the leaders are chosen based on their skills and kill time.
The leaderboard is determined by the fastest kills, with the player who achieves the quickest kill becoming the global leader. Some kills even reward players with weapons and high rankings. However, cheaters exploit the system out of greed to claim the top spot.
They use cheat codes and Mods to kill the monster in a single hit and reduce the time. This makes them the leaders of the Arena quest while the real talented players are pushed to the bottom. You can see it yourself if you open the Monster Hunter Arena Quests, where some timings look inhuman.
Capcom's new Monster Hunter wilds announcement
Capcom, the game developers, will now take action against those cheaters, and they have announced a zero-tolerance policy against people who cheat to get high rankings. The developers recently posted a tweet regarding this issue.
It says, “We will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools." The accounts that manipulated the leaderboard or rankings will be immediately suspended. They will also be prevented from getting any rewards for hunting.
Even if a gamer plays along with a friend who has Monster deleting, mods will be found guilty and face punishment. Capcom said, “If cheating is confirmed in a multiplayer hunt by any member(s) of a team, the completion time for the quest will be deemed invalid, and the right to rewards can be revoked for the whole party.”
So the players who play Arena quests with game mods need to stop immediately, or their account will be suspended. Gamers can also report someone who is cheating through the hunter profile. It is better to play the game in online single-player or privately to avoid these punishments.
