Although Overwatch Mobile has never been formally announced, it is fair to assume that it is currently in development. It was initially mentioned in 2020 and was ostensibly meant to launch with Overwatch 2. Later, it was said that this had been postponed; nevertheless, reporter Jason Schreier brought up the subject once more in his book Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment.
Still, its presence is now mentioned in another paper, and its breadth may be more than we initially believed. The Korean news agency MTN claims that the Overwatch mobile game is internally known as Overwatch 3 (as observed by VGC). According to the reports, publishers vying for the rights to the game called the mobile game Overwatch 3. The Overwatch game will now be published in Korea and Japan by Nexon, who reportedly won the bidding battle.

Players can ban heroes
Another MOBA mentioned in the study is Overwatch Mobile. Even though this is being internally referred to as Overwatch 3, it is unlikely to replace Overwatch 2 in the same manner as Overwatch 2 did for the first release. The Overwatch agreement appears to be limited to regional distribution rights, but Blizzard had other options as well. Various reports state that Nexon has also obtained the rights to this. As of right now, Blizzard has not addressed the allegation, and none of this has been verified. Blizzard has finally added hero bans to the ranked play in the hero-shooter, but that's not all. A vote mechanism now allows players to ban up to four heroes in a single match. Naturally, certain balance adjustments adjust some heroes that are weak and broken.
