Being toxic towards other players, teammates or opponents is usually unacceptable in online games and handled with a temporary ban. This can further extend in the case of repeat offenders, something that happened to a Call of Duty Black Ops 6 player who reported a 67-year-long ban due to violating the code of conduct in chat activity.

Reddit user Jefedadon762 shared an image that showcased a temporary ban of 24488 days or 67 years from communicating with others in-game. Thankfully, this wasn’t a permanent ban and the user can still play the game, but will remain silent for a long time.

“Your chat activity violates our code of conduct which has resulted in the temporary removal of public communication. You will not be able to communicate in public matches,” the pop-up notice after logging in to Balck Ops 6 informed the user.

Chat moderation working well in Black Ops 6

Black Ops 6 isn’t the only game that will take action against toxic players, other games like Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, or usually any competitive esports game will follow the same route. The ban duration starts with hours or days and will extend with regular violations.

In this case, people believe the user was a big-time offender, or it may be a system glitch. Regardless of the situation, most of them advised to refrain from being toxic, although, the deed is already done. People were also amazed that the chat moderation works, but the anti-cheat doesn’t as the cheaters are still running rampant.

Black Ops 6 free weekend pulling some numbers

Elsewhere, the free weekend for Balck Ops 6 following the Season 2 update seems to have worked a bit with the player count on Steam breaking 100,000 for the first time in a month. Running from February 6 to February 10, the player count did see a bump, but not too much, as most players are likely playing on consoles.
