BGMI 3.6 ‘Golden Moon’ update to bring new gameplay features

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is ending 2024 with a bang thanks to the incredible 3.5 update bringing an epic fight with frost dragon. However, as the season will be coming to a close very soon, fans are already excited about the BGMI 3.6 update that will reportedly bring new equipment including an Inflatable Boat.

The latest BGMI update will be releasing sometime in mid-January, following the conclusion of the ongoing season. Krafton is yet to reveal more details on update 3.6, but leaks suggest players will be getting the ‘Golden Moon’ theme that might be based around the Lunar New Year. 

Recent updates for BGMI have seen this trend of changing the arena to make things more exciting each season, similar to Fortnite and as of now, this seems to be working well. The new update will also follow this trend and as per leaks there will be a desert setting this time around.

New Weapons skins and Equipment

As with each update, new weapon crates are expected to make an appearance, both for the event theme and regular update to bring back older weapon and vehicle skins along with character outfits in rotation. Customization in general has never been an issue in BGMI.

One of the most awaited equipment that is rumoured to be coming in 3.6 update is the Inflatable Boat, which players can carry around in their bag pack. This will allow them to quickly make rotations or cross a river in need. Since the nature of the boat is being portable, it might be a little less durable than your regular boat.

Another rumour that has left fans excited in the new hot drop, Aetherial Sanctum. This is also one of the floating hot drops that will provide players with incredible loot to be ready even before the fight starts.
