Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released in two weeks and more details regarding the game have surfaced from the creative director, ‘Jonathan Dumont’. The game will feature an average of over 80 hours of gameplay content if players plan on completing the campaign along with side quests. Only the story will be around half of the duration.
Those who are planning to get the game will need to put in some hours. The information was revealed in an interview with Dumont, who talked to Genki_JPN on X (Twitter). He also revealed that the development team has been working hard on the game, taking feedback from fans, including the Japanese fanbase for ‘delivering an outstanding game.’.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows features an expansive world and gameplay
The game is inspired by movies like 13 Assassins, Sekigahara, and Zatoichi. Expanding on these themes, the game puts together a dynamic open world with a weather system, which will also affect the gameplay. Players will reportedly find a lot of things to do throughout the world, which explains the gameplay time. Everyone just hopes that these things won’t simply be a slogfest.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will also introduce many new mechanics. Both characters will get their own skills, which can be unlocked via mastery points. These points will be obtained by completing world missions. In combat, there’s a dynamic cutting system that will allow players to cut a lot of objects, as we know how much one loves the sword.
