Ubisoft recently revealed the PC specifications to run Assassin’s Creed Shadows on different settings. However, the install size was missing with only SSD mentioned in the storage section. The same happened on the Steam page, but sharp-eyed gamers have spotted the storage requirement of over 120 GB on Apple Store.
Set to release on March 20th, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will bring the franchise to Japan with dual protagonists. The game was already said to be quite ambitious and now we know it’s going to be quite large with a storage requirement of 123 GB, that’s for Mac devices, but PC gamers can also expect the same on launch.
Gamers may need free storage to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Most of the games in the Assassin’s Creed series usually come in decent sizes which aren’t much of a hassle to download, with the expectation being Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which boasts 160 GB of storage space requirement.
The size isn’t surprising considering most AAA games are expected to go over 100 GB, however, it may force gamers to remove some of their games, especially those who like to have multiple games installed at one time on their system.
The large file size may be due to an incredibly detailed environment that Ubisoft recently showcased in a gameplay mechanics preview. Although, the large file size for video games has often been a debated topic in the gaming community.

How much does Assassin’s Creed Shadows cost?
Assassin’s Creed Shadows follows the regular AAA game pricing norms, costing $70 or ₹4,899 for the game. There is a Digital Delux edition for the game costing $90 or ₹6,299 which includes a bunch of cosmetics and mastery points.
It’s also interesting to see an Assassin’s Creed game return to Apple devices. For the last 14 years, Ubisoft has been releasing games across consoles and Windows PC, with the last Assassin's Creed game on Apple devices being AC Revelations. This is likely due to Apple devices being not the ideal choice for gaming.
