Asmongold becomes most-watched Twitch steamer

Popular Twitch streamer, Asmongold, who is usually seen streaming to thousands of viewers at times on his Twitch account has reached a new milestone. His second channel ‘zackrawrr’ recently climbed up the viewership ladder reaching on top compared to all streamers in the last two weeks. The account is mainly used as a reaction and opinion channel.

As noted on sullygnome, a Twitch statistic tracking website, zackrawrr has been a regular top 10 contender revealing Asmongold’s popularity even when he is not streaming video games. He is often spotted sharing his opinion on various hot topics which have also got him in trouble at times.

Asmongold retains popularity despite controversies

Asmongold became popular for creating World of Warcraft content on YouTube before shifting to streaming on Twitch. He was also one of the co-founders of One True King (OTK) among other popular content creators like Mizkif and Esfand. He later stepped down from the position back in October 2024 following controversial comments regarding the Israel–Hamas war.

Following the ban, he issued an apology on the matter and stepped down from the leadership roles at OTK and Starforge Systems. Despite the backlash, his return was still highly anticipated and the streamer kept his viewership intact which is a miracle in a time when people get canceled for the smallest thing. However, this won’t be the first as there are similar cases with other streamers who are also highly controversial and still boast a huge fan following.

Yet to break into peak viewership list

Asmongold is no doubt among one of the top Twitch streamers, however, despite his fame and watch hours, the streamer has yet to reach anywhere near creating a peak viewership record. This is likely due to the nature of his stream where he simply sits in his room either playing games or talking about things.

He often makes appearances at shows but when it comes to his personal streams, the best he did for his fans was a cleanup of his house. This also reveals that his viewers do not mind the lack of flashy cosplay and are ready to simply sit and watch the stream.
