Ibai Llanos or as fans know him, Ibai, is the biggest stream across the globe and has now broken the Twitch all-time concurrent viewership record during his recent 2024 La Velada del Ano, an amateur boxing event held annually by Ibai featuring celebrities and other popular streamers.

The event occurred at Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, which has a seating capacity of 85,000 and was entirely sold out. Within 10 minutes of starting the stream, Ibai’s viewer count reached over 1 million, within a few hours the live stream for La Velada crossed 3.8 million live viewers breaking all the previous records including multiple records of his own.

Ibai became famous in the esports community as an Announcer/commentator across various League of Legends matches and made a name for himself. After that, he went on to become a streamer for G2 Esports for one year and then co-founded his esports team, KOI, in December 2021.

Ibai’s track of breaking records

The first iteration of La Velada saw over 1.5 million viewers, which was broken by TheGrefg. His second iteration of La Velada then went to cross over 3.3 million back in 2022 beating TheGrefg’s record of 2.7 million. The following year with the third iteration in 2023 saw Ibai break his record with over 3.4 million viewers, although it could have been more if not for Twitch capping the count.

This is the third time the streamer has broken his viewership record. Ibai even brought in Hollywood Superstar Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith along with Football Start Marc Cucurella and Nico Williams to perform at the event, which was a big surprise for the fans.
