Fortnite Juice WRLD event breaks all time concurrent player record

A year after creating the all-time peak, Fortnite has now shattered its own record with a huge margin during the Fortnite Chapter 5 Remix The Finale live event paying tribute to Juice WRLD. With over 14 million players live, the game surpassed its previous peak player count of 11.6 million that was created back on December 2, 2023.

The event was as epic as anyone could expect and once the player count started climbing the reports were pouring in. Once the player count reached over 11.6 million, the number kept climbing up, reaching a new all-time peak of 14.3 million.

Peaks are not uncommon for Fortnite live events, in-fact, each live event sees a massive audience. The final battle against Doctor Doom in Chapter 5 Season 4 saw over 5.6 million players and a month after that, Fortnite Remix: The Prelude event saw almost 10 million players, which was very close to the all-time peak record.

Fortnite Chapter 6 to bring new movement mechanics

Epic Games also revealed a teaser for the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 with a Japanese theme called ‘Hunters’ and of course there is Shinobi stuff involved including a new movement like wall running/jumping, themed weapons. The short teaser showcase the new mechanics and much more while also featuring a song by popular Utaite Ado who could be among the featured artist in the latest chapter.

The new movement mechanics are also a fresh addition to the game. Other popular titles like Apex Legends also feature wall running, which is quite popular among players, especially those who love playing around with different movement skills. The next chapter will undoubtedly be one of the craziest additions, with players bouncing around the map.
