The CS2 BLAST Premier Fall Final saw an intense fight between some of the top teams, with G2 Esports coming out on top after finally defeating NaVi. Along with a few others, these teams are back in action at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Rio 2024 and will be competing for a $250,000 prize pool and a spot at IEM Katowice 2025.
While Top teams like FaZe, NaVi and G2 Esports are partnered teams, Fans are quite excited to see the underdogs like The MongolZ, Eternal Fire and paiN Gaming back in action. Eternal Fire in particular gave an incredible performance during the recent ESL Pro League Season 20 after defeating The MongolZ and Team Vitality and facing NaVi in the grand finals.
One team in particular, FaZe Clan, might also be looking to up their performance after multiple upsets over the course of 2024 against multiple Tier 1 events. The team is yet to bring home a major trophy, and they only have one more Major and few events to do so.

IEM Rio Format
Team will commence the main tournament matches with Group Stage with eight teams divided into two groups of eight. The group stages will be played in a double elimination bracket, with three teams from each group heading towards playoffs.
The Playoffs will feature a single elimination bracket with the top team from each group will start in the semifinals, while the remaining four will be will start from the quarterfinals. All Team will only have a single chance to face and defeat their opponents.
