A 72-year-old did something many couldn’t in Elden Ring

Arguments regarding Elden Ring and its difficulty have always been a hot topic. While some believe the game should be a bit easy, others argue it's fine and not made for everyone. However, a 72-year-old has now made it clear that the games’ difficulty is fine, and it is for everyone after completing the game and DLC in New Game+7.

For those new to the New Game+ territory, some games provide scaling difficulty each time a player completes the game. In the case of Elden Ring, this difficulty increases up to seven times, and as one can guess, not many people attempt to clear the game on the highest difficulty, let alone at an age of over 70. Posted by vuduthmb on the Elden Ring subreddit, the user claimed the title for the oldest man to complete the game of NG+ 7 along with the DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree.

“I did it all solo. Of course, I did not do it without armour, using only a short spear like some peeps have done, but I'm still pretty proud of myself. It's a miracle I can turn my PS5 on without help, right? Damn, it was fun. I've been into video games from the start, and Elden Ring is a strong candidate for the best game ever. Fans are amazed by 72-year-old’s achievement

As expected, Elden Ring fans were left amazed by this feat, hoping that when they turn 72, they will at least be able to play video games like the user. “I'm 51 with the Platinum trophy in Elden Ring, but kudos to you. I can only wish that at 72 I'm still playing and conquering video games,” one user said.

“Foul tarnished! You give me hope. I'm excited gaming will be normalised when I'm your age,” another user added. It’s safe to say that the grandpa is likely going to be regarded as a legend in the community for a very long time.

The launch of Elden Ring was a complete chaos, with people unable to defeat even the first boss for hours. Shadow of the Erdtree brought something similar for even vetted players who thought they were ready. Compared to everything, this certainly is a huge achievement and may not be achieved by anyone else.
