Match number 19 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to witness Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) host Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday. Ahead of the game, GT skipper Shubman Gill was seen interacting with SRH batter Ishan Kishan. The duo share a close bond off the field as they are very good friends. Gujarat Titans’ social media handle put out a short video where Gill and Kishan could be seen trolling Mohammed Siraj.
Watch the video here:
The video began with Kishan telling Gill, “Siraj ji batting dekh raha hoo. (I am seeing Siraj bat)." The video then showed Siraj playing the perfect forward defence as Kishan could be heard cheering GT’s bowler. It was a fun-filled video where Kishan could be seen having subtle digs at Siraj with the bowler also joining and responding.
Towards the end of the video, Ishan Kishan said, “Batsman bahut acha hai. Aur upar se Hyderabad ka hi hai. Local jagah pe hoon uske, toh main zyada pange le nahi sakta hoo. But a very good batsman.” (He is a good batter and to top it off, it is his hometown, so I don’t want to get into any trouble.).
Former India batter slams Pat Cummins’ captaincy
Sunrisers Hyderabad are heading into the game versus GT on the back of three successive losses. SRH had lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last game by a massive margin of 80 runs. Former India batter Mohammad Kaif has slammed Pat Cummins and his captaincy style.
During his chat with Star Sports, the 44-year-old said, “The batting is not working, and so is the case with bowling. You are also losing very badly. It's very difficult to come back from here. You will expect them to come with some plans because neither is Cummins able to bowl nor is Shami picking up wickets.”
Kaif also went on to add, “They don't have spinners either. Adam Zampa didn't play in this match. They went with Zeeshan and he wasn't given all his overs. Mendis was given just one over. He picked up a wicket there but wasn't given any more overs. Cummins' captaincy is also looking weak to me,"
