Bangladesh have found a new pace sensation in the form of 22-year-old Nahid Rana. The youngster stunned the world when he put in a impressive spell of fast bowling on Sunday. Nahid Rana ran in and bowled flat out quick as he was seen clocking over 90 miles per hour consistently. 

The biggest moment of the day for Nahid Rana came when he got the big wicket of Babar Azam on Sunday. Babar Azam got a ball which was clocked 146.4 KPH as the former Pakistan skipper was out bowled for 22. 

In the same over, Nahid Rana bowled a ball which was clocked at 149.9 KPH. This was the fastest ever ball recorded in a Test which has speed merchants like Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi in the opposition camp. 

Nahid Rana: Bangladeshi star on the rise

Born on the 2nd of October 2002, Nahid Rana has been spoken about the next big thing in Bangladeshi cricket. The young pacer caught the eye of the selectors with his ability to crank up good speeds across all formats. 

Nahid Rana made his first class debut for Barishal in the game against Rajshahi and got two wickets in his first innings. In the 2nd dig Nahid Rana picked two more wickets including that of former Bangladeshi skipper Mohmmad Ashraful for 1. 

In just 16 First class matches, Nahid Rana has picked 68 wickets with three fifers with best figures of 5/62. In the List A format, Nahid Rana has played 10 games and picked 26 wickets with a best of 5/45 which is his best in this format. 

After his impressive performances, Nahid Rana was given a call-up to the Bangladeshi side for the Test match against Sri Lanka. The test debut came earlier this year in front of his home fans in Sylhet. 

Nahid Rana bowled 14 overs and gave away 87 runs and picked three wickets. His first Test wicket was that of Kamindu Mendis for 102 followed by the wicket of Dhananjaya De Silva for 102 each. The third wicket was that of Prabath Jayasuriya for 1. Two more wickets followed in the second innings as Nahid Rana dismissed Nishan Madhuska and Kusal Mendis. 

Bangladeshi fans will be overjoyed with the performance put in by Nahid Rana on Sunday. On a wicket which had nothing in it for the faster bowlers the young pacer bent his back and clocked good speeds to put the cricketing world on notice.
