Jasprit Bumrah, the star pacer for India is back at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and is getting ready for his gym and first bowling session. At the National Cricket Academy (NCA), he will start his lighting training and will be under observation of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This injury affected him to stay away from India’s ongoing ODI series against England. Earlier, he missed a 5-match T20I series against England. Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Jasprit Bumrah's availability raises concern for India. The upcoming hours will be important for India to decide on him as 11th February is the last day to make a change in the provisional team. The same situation took place during the ICC World Cup 2023 in which Hardik Pandya was injured but India did not name his replacement for a few weeks.

Even if there is a 1% chance, the BCCI is likely to wait. They did the same with Hardik Pandya as they waited for close to two weeks before getting Prasidh Krishna as a replacement. Even when Shunman Gill was down with dengue, they didn't have any thoughts of looking for a replacement. Yes, those two incidents happened during the campaign but approach with Bumrah could well be no different," as per Times Of India.

On the other hand,  during his career, Jasprit Bumrah has suffered many injuries which led him to miss many ICC events for India. He missed two T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022 followed by World Test Championship Final in 2023. This issue worries Team India as the Champions Trophy 2025 nears. However, BCCI has not made any official announcement on Jasprit Bumrah's availability for the ICC Champions Trophy as they hope he will get ready for play by the time of the first game in the tournament.

Mohammad Shami back in team after one year

India will start their campaign against Bangladesh on 19 Feb in UAE. Ahead of the ODI series against England India revealed the squad for the Champions Trophy. Mohammed Shami is back in the squad after almost a year. He is named for England series to get ready for the Champions Trophy. Due to a knee injury, he was out of action. While Arshdeep Singh will be his partner in bowling attack. If Jasprit Bumrah gets fit by the time it will boost India’s confidence and will add more power to the bowling attack. India has a strong team which makes them the favourite to win the tournament.
