In the first ODI, the West Indies batted first and posted 280 on the board. In reply to it, Pakistan chased down the total by 5 wickets to claim a lead of 1-0 in the series. The second ODI witnessed West Indies' dominance, as they reduced the visiting side to 171/7 in 37 overs in the rain-affected match.

The home side won the match comfortably by 5 wickets despite the loss of two early wickets. Hence, the third ODI effectively became a decider. A thriller was expected between the two sides. However, the West Indies delivered their most clinical performance in ODIs in a long time and beat Pakistan comprehensively by 202 runs.
Jayden Seales and Shai Hope star in the West Indies' dominant win against Pakistan
West Indies batted first and scored 294/7, thanks to Shai Hope's unbeaten 120*(94). It seemed a tough chase for Pakistan, which never seemed to be in the game. Seales, who claimed 3 wickets in the second ODI, was the star performer with the ball in the decider, as he registered 6/18 in his 7.2 overs.

The Pakistani batters did not turn up well for the fight and folded like a pack of cards. It seemed all too easy in the end, as the West Indies dismissed Pakistan for just 92 runs. It was their first ODI series win for the West Indies against Pakistan since 1991, when they had claimed a 2-0 win.
