The star DC batter Karun Nair left everyone stunned with his sensational IPL comeback, smashing a blistering half-century in the last game against the Mumbai Indians. He played a fiery knock of 89 runs off just 40 balls, with 12 fours and five sixes. However, his valiant efforts went in vain as DC failed to chase down the target and lost the game by a narrow margin of 12 runs.

Meanwhile, Karun Nair also opened up on being asked about his feelings after scoring a half-century in the comeback game against MI, with his kids in the stands.

“Really happy that I could have them here” – Karun Nair

Nair spoke his heart out just before the start of the game between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
“It was amazing, first of all, to get a 50, get an opportunity and then to have them here, you know, watching them is something special and something, you know, I have been waiting for a long time for. So, I am really happy that I could have them here,” said Karun Nair before the start of the game against the Rajasthan Royals.

Furthermore, the 33-year-old was also asked about his aggressive approach against the star MI pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. To which, Nair came up with a bold response and revealed his intent for the game against RR.

“You know, it's another opportunity today, and hopefully I can do the same today as well. [On taking on Bumrah] Quite honestly, I wasn't targeting anything as such. I was just playing ball by ball and focusing on the areas that I could target, and if it is there in that area of the pitch, then I will just go for it,” he said.

“I had complete freedom in my head that if I felt like doing something, just go for it and do it and commit to whatever plan that I have,” he added later.
