Young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals once again grabbed attention after the team posted a video of the 14-year-old facing his teammate Jofra Archer during their net session. Head coach Rahul Dravid has stated that the team wants to give the young player some time before he competes in the premier competition, even if he hasn't made his IPL debut yet. However, the fact that RR is training him against Archer, who bowls fast and confidently, shows how much the team believes in him.

After being wicketless in his opening two IPL 2025 matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, Jofra Archer has recently recovered well. In the previous three games, he has taken five wickets, including his finest performance of the season, a 3/25 session against Punjab Kings.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi to get chance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Fans are more excited about when they could eventually see Vaibhav on the major stage because of his assured batting against Archer's speed in the nets, even though he hasn't played a match yet. When RR plays the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 13, many supporters expect the young player to be unexpectedly included in the lineup.

Spinner Tabraiz Shamsi of South Africa responded to the video that RR posted on social media, praising the franchise and the IPL overall for their role in nurturing young players like Suryavanshi. The Proteas player also emphasized how SA20 will use the same strategy to identify South African cricket prospects.
