Notably, this catch taken by Yashasvi Jaiswal also resembled the stunning catch executed by the star Australia batter Travis Head to dismiss India skipper Rohit Sharma in the ODI World Cup 2023 Final.

The video of this stunning catch taken by Yashasvi Jaiswal is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Here’s the video:

Speaking of the action of the match, England had scored 99 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 14.5 overs at the time of filling this. Joe Root and skipper Jos Buttler were there in the middle with the individual score of 13 and 10 runs, respectively.

Openers Phil Salt and Ben Duckett had scored 43 and 32 runs, respectively. However, it was not an expected day for Harry Brook as he got dismissed on a duck off three balls.

India’s debutant pacer Harshit Rana has scalped two wickets so far alongside the brilliant and economical spells bowled by Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya. Shami has conceded only 19 runs in 4 overs, including a maiden over. Hardik Pandya has conceded only 8 runs in three overs, including a maiden over.

Notably, India, under the captaincy of Surykumar Yadav, already won the T20I series by a margin of 4-1 in the five-match series courtesy of Abhishek Sharma’s sensational performances with the bat.

Now, Rohit Sharma-led Indian ODI team will aim to win this three-match ODI series against England to strengthen their preparations for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2024.
