The incident in question happened in the fourth ball of the sixth over when Sundar went outside the off-stump and scooped the bowler for a six. What made the shot more special was that Sundar didn’t even bother to look at the ball when after he hit it for a six. The audacity behind the shot even had the commentators praising him for the shot. Sundar, had his eyes on the ball while playing the shot and knew his timing had taken the ball over the ropes for a six.
Bowling the sixth over of the innings, Singh was hit for 20 runs as Sundar helped Gujarat reach 48 runs for the loss of two wickets. The first two balls of the over saw the 25-year-old former SRH player hit Singh for two crisp boundaries. This was followed by a dot ball on each side of two sixes being hit to make it a huge over for the visiting side.
