Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was on fire during the ILT20 match between Desert Vipers and Sharjah Warriorz on Wednesday. Desert Vipers won the match by 10 wickets to go top of the table while Sharjah are second from the bottom. Playing for Vipers, Hasaranga ended the night with three wickets including an amazing ball to dismiss Luke Wells.
Left-handed batter Wells was batting on 11 runs when he faced up to Hasaranga in the third ball of the seventh over. The 27-year-old bowled a loopy delivery that spun and beat the batter and ripped off the leg stump. Wells had a puzzled look on his face as he was dismissed to leave his side in huge trouble at 30/5.

Lockie Ferguson won the toss and put Sharjah into bat first. Pakistan’s former pacer Mohammad Amir wreaked havoc as he got three early wickets. The left-arm pacer first got the wicket of Johnson Charles caught by Dan Lawrence for four runs.
This was followed by the wicket of Avishka Fernando for a duck. Amir then got the wicket of Rohan Mustafa for two runs. The left-arm pacer ended the night with the wicket of Adam Milne to end with 4/24 and was given the man of the match for his efforts.

Fakhar Zaman’s blitz leads Vipers to huge win
Out of favour England batter Jason Roy was the only player from Sharjah to show some semblance of fight. The 34-year-old was not out on 30 off 34 balls with two hits to the fence. Luke Wells and Harmeet Singh were the only batters from the Warriorz to get into double figures with 11 runs each as the batting side was bowled out for 91.
Needing just 92 runs to win the game, Desert Vipers openers didn’t break any sweat. Fakhar Zaman and Alex Hales took just 10 overs to get to the mark with all 10 wickets intact. Alex Hales was not out on 23 runs from 21 balls with two fours and a six and played the perfect second fiddle to Fakhar Zaman.
Pakistani batter Fakhar Zaman was not out on 71 off 39 balls with seven boundaries and four huge maximums. The left-handed batter got to his fifty off just 26 balls by which time his team was well on course for a huge win.
