Amir bowled a full-length delivery that angled into the pads. The batter attempted a flick shot but mistimed it, resulting in a leading edge. Brilliant bowling display by Desert Vipers

Talking about the match, the Vipers won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision proved to be the right one, as their bowlers provided a great start, especially Amir, who dismantled Sharjah's top order. Skipper Sam Curran and star leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga completed the job by taking two and three wickets, respectively, while maintaining economical spells. Sharjah managed to score only 91 runs in their innings, with Jason Roy being the top scorer with 30 runs.

In response, the Vipers’ openers, Fakhar Zaman and Alex Hales, adopted an aggressive approach right from the start. Zaman dominated the bowlers, smashing 71 runs off just 39 balls, including seven fours and four sixes. Sharjah’s bowlers failed to take a single wicket, and the Vipers won the match convincingly by 10 wickets.

With this victory, the Vipers remain at the top of the points table with five wins in six matches, while Sharjah are in fifth place with only two wins in five matches.
