The Indian team completed their revenge of 2023 by knocking out Australia out of the Champions Trophy 2025 to make it to the finals. The Men in Blue registered a four-wicket win over the Mighty Australians in Dubai.
Every player was relieved after the win and celebrated with all the energy as KL Rahul finished the match with a six in the 49th over of the match. Virat Kohli, who was awarded the Player of the Match award for his mature knock, was also over the moon.

The former Indian captain was elated at seeing his wife, Anushka Sharma, in the stands. He was seen celebrating in front of her after his match-winning performance. A video of the same has been doing rounds on the internet.
India beat Australia in a thriller to reach the finals
Earlier in the day, Captain Rohit Sharma lost 14th toss in a row and was put in to field first by Steve Smith. India put some early pressure on the opening batters, but Travis Head was quick to turn things around and score some quick runs. He played a brilliant cameo of 39 runs in 33 balls before Varun Chakravarthy outsmarted him to send him back on his very first delivery of the match.
After that, Smith and Alex Carey, with scores of 73 and 61, respectively, took the onus upon themselves to guide the team to a fighting total of 264 runs.
In the chase, India lost a couple of early wickets but Virat Kohli (84 in 98 balls) and Shreyas Iyer (45 in 62 balls) put on a brilliant show. Unlike the ODI World Cup 2023 finals, they made sure they kept rotating the strike and also kept the boundaries in check in the middle order. Eventually, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul helped their team get over the line.
